It also offers software development services for electronic dictionary products. In addition, this segment focuses on the research and development of car navigation products. The TCA segment provides subassemblies and components, such as color and monochrome LCD modules to display information in mobile phones and telephone systems; RF modules for integration into mobile phones; DAB modules that are used in home tuners, kitchen radios, in-car receivers, CD players, clock radios, boom boxes, midi-systems, and handheld portable devices; FPC sub-assemblies for integration into various LCD modules; front and back light panels for handheld video game devices; and high frequency cordless telephones and home feature phones. The LCDP segment manufactures customized LCD modules that include components, such as backlights, FPC, and chip on class for cordless and voice-over-Internet protocol phones and for other electronic products. Nam Tai Electronics sells its products primarily in China, Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, Estonia, Korea, and North America. The company was founded in 1975 and is based in Road Town, British Virgin Islands.
