Further, the company offers audio-related services comprising .ringback', which replaces the common .ring-ring' sound heard by callers with music and sound effects; and interactive voice response services, which enable users to listen to songs, jokes, stories, and coverage of events. Linktone was founded in 1999. It was formerly known as Intrinsic Technology (Holdings), Ltd. and changed its name to Linktone, Ltd. in 2001.
