These services enable broadcasting customers to distribute programming to television stations, local cable operators and master antenna systems. The company also provides satellite-based broadcasting and telecommunications services, which include very small aperture terminal, and Internet POP gateway services, as well as transponder capacity for private communication networks for data and voice communications, and public switched telephone network carrier services, including the wholesale voice to telecom network operators and other communications service providers. As of December 31, 2006, APT Satellite Holdings operated five satellites. The company was founded in 1992 and is based in Tai Po, Hong Kong.
